Abstract
Thoughts in our heads can be constructive and lead to great achievements. Sometimes, however, they cause unnecessary stress and anxiety. They can hijack the present moment by bringing us to the future or by making us ruminate on the past. For millennia people have used meditation and mindfulness to calm their nervous system down and live happier. In this talk we will go over what meditation and mindfulness is about – or rather what it is not about, the ways and the health benefits of the practice, negative emotions, mind-body connection, and compassion. No need to worry about sitting cross legged, we will use regular chairs.
All are welcome.
